Lens & Legacy Studio continues as an evolving photographic practice dedicated to observing and interpreting Europe’s architectural art through both analogue and digital processes. Working across historic interiors, painted ceilings, decorative walls, and the spaces that surround them, the studio brings together careful visual study, long-term exploration, and a respect for craftsmanship and place. Through handcrafted collectable study sets, books, archival print editions, and thoughtfully produced photographic objects, the work seeks to preserve moments of artistic and architectural significance as enduring pieces — created slowly, with intention, and designed to be lived with over time.

WHO WE ARE

Lens & Legacy Studio is an independent photographic practice dedicated to the interpretation of European architectural art and place.

Founded by Audrey Marie and Turner Jack Hunter, the studio brings together complementary perspectives — from interior detail and long-form visual study to architectural context and landscape — forming a layered approach to observing how art and architecture exist within place.

WHAT WE DO

The practice centres on photographing historic interiors, decorative art, and architectural spaces through both analogue and digital methods.

Images are developed into structured bodies of work and presented through study plates, archival prints, and limited-edition handcrafted folios, where sequencing, material, and design form an extension of the photographic process.

HOW WE WORK

Projects evolve through long-term observation, return visits, and careful editing rather than rapid production. The studio operates independently, allowing each body of work to develop with clarity, consistency, and attention to craft.

Photographers • Architectural Art Observers • Independent Practice

Lens & Legacy Studio is a collaborative photographic practice founded by mother-and-son photographers Audrey Marie and Turner Jack Hunter. Their work focuses on European architectural art and place, bringing together complementary perspectives — Audrey Marie through analogue and digital photography centred on interiors, detail, and long-term visual study, and Turner Jack through ground-based and aerial photography that explores structure, setting, and spatial context.

Working across historic interiors, painted ceilings, wall art, and surrounding architectural landscapes, their practice is shaped by years of travel, observation, and ongoing research. Rather than documenting travel for its own sake, they approach each location as a site of study where art, craftsmanship, and environment intersect.

United by a shared commitment to careful observation and material quality, they produce limited-edition photographic books, archival prints, and collectible works developed through deliberate editing and handcrafted production. Their work prioritises clarity, process, and sustained attention, offering photographic studies designed to be collected, revisited, and lived with over time.

Lens & Legacy Studio operates independently, allowing projects to evolve through continued exploration, return visits, and focused visual inquiry — a practice grounded in photography as both documentation and enduring object.

The Books brings together the studio’s authored photographic publications, created through long-form image-led storytelling and produced as limited editions. Each book is shaped by time, place, and observation, combining photography, research, and material craft into a self-contained photographic work. These publications are not documents of events, but visual narratives — made slowly, intentionally, and with care for how images live together on the page.

Architectural Study Plates present quiet photographic observations of historic interiors across Europe. Each study pairs a carefully composed architectural plate with concise notes identifying the structural and stylistic elements within the space. Drawn from the growing Lens & Legacy archive, these small documents invite the viewer to slow down and look more closely at ceilings, vaults, ornament, and light.

Collector Print Editions present selected photographs from the ongoing archive of Lens & Legacy Studio — a body of work shaped by more than four decades of photographic practice by Audrey Marie and Turner Jack. Rooted in both analogue and digital processes, the archive reflects a long-term engagement with light, memory, and place, approached through patience, craft, and attentive observation.

Each photograph is produced as an archival print, carefully considered for tonal depth, surface quality, and longevity. Rather than mass reproduction, prints are made with an emphasis on material integrity and quiet presence, allowing the image to exist as a lasting visual record — one that can be lived with, revisited, and held over time.
